The Militia is Coming!

The Sherman Historical Society is celebrating our 50th anniversary with a Revolutionary reenactment! There will be three regiments encamped—one British!—so a skirmish will ensue! We'll have demonstrations, musket drills with the children, colonial crafters and exhibitors including, weaver, shoemaker, spy mistress, armorer, beekeeper. We'll have 18th century cooking and a fashion show! Roger Sherman will be here! Also: dress-up Photo booth, photo contest (in cooperation with Great Hollow Photographers Club) open to all, plus we'll have a food vendor. Come for the day! Parking areas will be posted with signs. There will be loud noises so those with sensitivity, bring ear protection and leave your beloved pets at home, please. 9:30 to 4 at the Society's Cobbler Shop Field.
