Mission Statement 

The Sherman Senior Center remains committed in servicing the senior community and is available to respond to their interests, ideas and concerns.

Office Hours: 

9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday 

Visitors are encouraged to call first in the event of the office being closed due to a trip or other activity. 

Description of Services:

The Sherman Senior Center operates under the direction of the Office of the First Selectman. The center offers a variety of programs, activities and trips, both educational and recreational, to Sherman residents 55 years and older.

Ongoing Activities: 

Monday 

• Walking Group: 9:00 am

• Veterans Field track 

• Senior Dine at American Pie: 9:30 am 

• Pinochle: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm 

• Bridge: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm 

•  Trip: Danbury Mall (First Monday of the Month) 

Tuesday 

•  Senior Dine at American Pie: 9:30 am 

• Exercise Club: 11:00 am 

• Bingo: 12:00 pm (Last Tuesday of the Month)

•  Live Music with Lumos: 1:15pm (Last Tuesday of the Month) 

Wednesday 

• Walking Group: 9:00 am, Veterans Field track 

• Lunch served 12:00 pm, cost $3 

• Pinochle: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

• Shopping Trip to New Milford. Call 2 days prior to reserve a seat on the van. 

Thursday 

• Chair Yoga: 10:00 am 

• Boomwhackers: 12:00 pm (First Thursday of the Month)

• Crafts: 12:00 pm (Third Thursday of the Month) 

Friday 

• Bridge Club 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm 

• Walking Group: 9:00 am, Veterans Field track 

•  Tech Help First Friday 

•  Beginner Tai Chi: 10:00 am 

•  Probate Judge Appointments 12:00 pm-2:00 pm (Second Friday of the Month) 

•  Wii Bowling: 11:00 am (Second Friday of the Month) 

•  Corn Hole: 11 am, Last Friday of the Month
