Five Teas That Changed the World

 Thursday, September 25th at 6:00 p.m.

Join the Sherman Library for an evening of delicious tea and rich history on Thursday, September 25th at 6:00pm for Five Teas That Changed the World. This workshop, led by Sherman-native tea sommelier Campbell Coughlin, will take you on a journey through five of history's most important teas. From beloved classics like Earl Grey to controversial cups like Bohea Souchong, you're bound to learn something new and discover your perfect cup of tea. Tea samples will be served.

Campbell Coughlin was raised in Sherman, Connecticut, and received her Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies from Connecticut College in May 2022. After opening Honeybee Books and Tea with her mother, Lockey Coughlin, in 2023, Campbell expanded her tea knowledge and received her Tea Sommelier certification in early 2025. Currently, Campbell is using her knowledge of tea to refine HbBooks’ tea collection and provide customers with quality teas from around the world.

This program is free and is offered in person at the Sherman Library. Register online at shermanlibrary.org/registration-dropdown or contact slprograms@biblio.org.
