The Sherman Renaissance Senior Center remains committed in servicing the
senior community and is available to respond to their interests, ideas and concerns.
The Director is also the town’s Municipal Agent and Social Worker.

8:00AM – 3:00PM, Monday – Friday.
Visitors are encouraged to call first in the event of the office being closed
due to a trip or other activity.

Description of
Services & Fees
The Sherman Senior "Renaissance" Center operates under the
direction of the Office of the First Selectman. The center offers a variety
of programs, activities and trips, both educational and recreational, to
Sherman residents 55 years and older.
"Mature Lifestyle" Recurring Calendar of Events: (please

Monday
- MILE-BY-MILE Walking Group:
9:00 am, Veterans Field track
- Pinochle:
12 pm to 4 pm
- Blood Pressure Screening:
11:30am to 12:30pm (every 2nd Monday)
- Birthday Celebration:
12:30 pm,(every 2nd Monday)
- Discussion Club:
2nd and 4th Monday, 11 am to noon
Tuesday
- Bridge:
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Gentle Yoga at JCC:
10:30 am
- Shopping Trip:
Every Tuesday to Sherman IGA and Big Y
Wednesday
- MILE-BY-MILE Walking Group:
9:00 am, Veterans Field track
- Pinochle:
12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Shopping in Danbury 1st Wednesday of the
month: Mall, Christmas Tree,
& Trader Joe’s
Thursday
- Exercise with Wii:
Every Thursday at 9:30 am
- Shopping Trip: Every Thurs.

prior to reserve a seat on van; every third Thursday, shopping in
Danbury and lunch out
